You will also be getting the opportunity to win prizes as well as taking advantage of special promotions and discounts on other Ulead Systems’ software.
VI. Program Information
  1. If you experience difficulty getting started with Ulead MediaStudio Pro, use the online help or check the manual for information.

  2. You can use native HDV MPEG-2 transport streams on the Video Editor timeline, but playback performance will be poor on most systems. We recommend that you convert the native HDV footage to SD format by Smart Proxy for timeline editing. You can add your native HDV files on the timeline and MediaStudio Pro will create a proxy file in DVD format by default. To change the format, Select File: Preference - Smart Proxy tab and choose your desired format (DV AVI, MPEG-1 or VCD). For more information about working with HDV, please refer to the manual or help.

  3. Import DVD video from DVDs (uncopyrighted) inside Video Editor. To import DVD, select Capture: Video Capture to open the Capture dialog box. Click Capture options (the button beside Capture format) and select Change Capture Plug-in. Change the capture plug-in to Import DVD Plug-in then click OK. Press Record on the Navigation Panel then select the DVD folder.

  4. Video Editor allows you to open Ulead VideoStudio 8 and 9 projects by selecting File: Open. However, you still can insert VideoStudio 8 and 9 projects into your current project by going to Preference: Edit tab and changing Append project as to Part of current project. You can then insert VideoStudio projects by selecting Insert: Project file then choose the VSP file format.

  5. Video Editor supports importing of Ulead COOL 3D Production Studio project files (C3D) as a video file. In order to import C3D files into Video Editor, both MediaStudio Pro and Ulead COOL 3D Production Studio must be installed. You can insert a C3D project file to a Video track by selecting Insert: Video file. In the dialog box, choose C3D as the format then select your C3D project file.

  6. You can also use Ulead COOL3D Production Studio to create a video file with Alpha channel and import it into Video Editor. To create a video file with Alpha Channel in Ulead COOL3D Production Studio, the file format used must be AVI, the compression must be set to None, and the data type must be 32-bit RGB.
